Task 58

Lose Ten Pounds

It has been a very slow process, but nevertheless, I am accomplishing this weight loss stuff. Dexter and I have our diet challenge, but the 10 pound weight loss refers to my 101 in 1001 challenge that started in December. I know what you’re thinking, but my response is: Slowly, but surely. I’m feeling a little bit better and taking it one day at a time.I was super duper excited when I hopped onto the scale yesterday morning. It was exactly ten pounds less than my weigh in on December 10th when I started my diet challenge for my project. Yay for tasks slowly being accomplished and turning green!

Dexter and I are off this weekend. We’ve got two children parties to attend tomorrow. We’ll see how that works out. I’ve been tired from work even though I haven’t worked much. I am still precepting a nurse who has six years of experience. She is great and all, but having her doing all the work has made me extremely tired. Does that make any sense? If it doesn’t make sense to you, it makes perfect sense to me. Two more days and counting.

I am so sick of this winter weather. I love Chicago summers, but the winter season drags on. When will the snow melt? Hopefully the weekend warm-up will do the trick. I haven’t been excited to be off in a long time. It’s been really hard to get out of the house due to having a second baby, but this weather is making it more impossible by 100%. Damn weather! Warm it up already!

As Barney says: Oh Mister Sun, sun, mister golden sun… PLEASE SHINE DOWN ON ME!!!
