Friendly Holidays

We had our annual Christmas Celebration with our friends yesterday at Neil and Yvette’s place. It was a bit unplanned, but we ended up taking the kids (both of them) to the party. It worked out really well because Janelle was sleeping the whole time, except when she needed milk. Due to the fact that my mom had a hard time the night before, Dexter and I decided it would be best to take the kiddies. Our friends didn’t mind anyway and Dexter was refusing to go by himself. The “theme” this year was home cooked meals and everyone did a fantastic job (except for us). We bought brownies from CostCo and of course some liquor. It was a nice adult sit down dinner. Yvette did a wonderful job setting the table, including three different sizes of plates and different types of glasses. She had candles and the works. She even had personalized place cards with a note inside for each of us. Anyway, towards the end of OUR night, I kinda figured it was our tme to go. Let’s just say that everyone (including the hubby) was getting a little too much to drink. Shots were going around every 5 minutes, we were all screaming and laughing and swearing and just acting innappropriate for my babies own good. Even though we wanted to stay, we left at like almost 100am. Spank me for being a bad parent, huh?  I swear it’s not as bad as it sounds. Everyone was well behaved for the most part. Thank god for the kids’ play room, cause that’s where Jasmyne hung out the majority of the night.

Even though I’m not in the holiday spirit, I still love get togethers with family and friends. You all enjoy you and yours for the next couple of weeks!
