It has been quite a busy month, as you can probably tell from the lack of blog entries on here. There have been way too many things going on and as you may be able to tell from my June agenda- plenty more things that will be going on to keep us busy. I guess that is a good thing. The kids love good company and they love playing with other kids. Anyhow, I am happy to say that I have another something special to look forward to in August. It has been a short lived tradition that Dex and I go somewhere for our anniversary. This year, we decided to go to Orlando. We didn’t want to leave the kids this year because Janelle is still so young. She’s got a routine that only Dex and I know. Jayda is big enough to appreciate some of the things they have, so we figured we may as well. We booked everything yesterday and the resort we’re staying at is beautiful. I’m excited already.
The weather has been pretty blah here in Chicago. It feels as though we’re never gonna get a taste of summer- for more than a couple of days at a time. It’s been dreadful. Yesterday, we decided to check out the Shedd Aquarium, since it is Community Days week. That means admission is free all week. I thought we would take our time, get there and then hang out for a bit and spend the rest of the day on Michigan Avenue. Boy was I wrong. When we got there, the line was massively long. We waitied the 1.5 hours because Jayda didn’t want to leave. When we got inside, it was more chaotic than ever. Hundreds of people and what seemed like millions of strollers trying to find their place in the crowd. I don’t think I am EVER going to do that again.
Just when I thought I’d have a chance to get a blog going… the LiL Baby is awake already. Anyway, if I don’t get a chance to write again… HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all the deserving fathers out there!
